There is a particular variety of song in folk literature which ends with the word "koogoogu". in Kannada language Koogu means calling somebody. Koogoogu is a compound word which means, when we call a person, he tries to hide himself, tries to slip away."Do buchi" is another word which is also used to mean almost the same thing.
Annamayya composed one song in this category describing the butter thief and the one who stole the hearts and clothes of the cowherdesses while they were taking bath in the river.(from book: Flowers At His Feet)
